BREAKING: Five more Confirmed Cases of Coronavirus in Malta

In a latest press conference, Prof. Charmaine Gauci confirms 5 more positive cases of coronavirus in Malta.

There have now been a total of 18 cases of coronavirus in Malta.

Prof Gauci releases information about the latest confirmed cases.

A Russian man that came back to Malta after Russia on the 4th of March felt symptoms on the 11th of March.

Two Maltese men have also tested positive for the Coronavirus. One of them visited Dublin between the 7th and 10th of March and the other Maltese man visited Barcelona between the 6th and 9th of March. The latter self quarantined and symptoms emerged after a couple of days.

Last two cases are a foreign couple that live together, one from Hong Kong and another from Italy. They were in Madrid between the 7th and 10th of March.

There’s no evidence of local transmission of the disease so far, as all cases have emerged after individuals returned to Malta from another country.
