Looking for the next place to try to find love in? Well, say goodbye to DMs and endless swiping because it looks like Facebook has got that covered, as the company sets to launch a new speed-dating app called ‘Sparked’.
For those of you on the lookout for new online dating platforms to try – besides Tinder or Bumble – the social media giant is now set to debut a platform dedicated to speed dating, Sparked.
At the moment, the app’s in testing stages via browser only, but the upcoming app will be free to use and doesn’t require public profiles, swiping, or DM-ing.
So, how does it work? Basically, after connecting through Facebook profiles, users are placed on a waitlist before getting matched with others based on age, location, and dating preferences.
Sparked pairs then participate in a series of four-minute video chats that can be followed up with a 10-minute date if both parties are interested. After, users can exchange contact information and connect elsewhere.
Stay tuned for more updates.
