Extra buses start running on Malta’s busiest routes

Extra buses have started running on Malta’s busiest routes this summer.

Malta Public Transport has told 89.7 Bay it has increased the number of buses on the most popular routes.

Buses will run every 20 minutes instead of every 30 minutes between 9am and 12pm and between 4.30pm and 7.30pm daily on routes 41 and 42 operating between Valletta and Cirkewwa.

Buses will run every 15 minutes instead of every 20 minutes between 9am and 8pm on the 212 between Sliema and Bugibba and on the 221 between Buġibba  and Cirkewwa.

Buses will run every 15 minutes on the 222 between Sliema and Cirkewwa from 9am to 12pm and from 4pm to 8pm.

On route 53, Valletta to Rabat, buses will run every 30 minutes instead of every hour.

On route 31, Valletta to Bugibba via Mosta, the frequency will be increased in the evenings between 7pm and 8.30pm from Monday to Saturday as well as throughout the day on Sunday.

On route 48, Valletta to Bugibba via Mosta, an extra trip will be added on Sunday morning departing at 5.20am from Valletta and at 5.10am from Bugibba.
