Experience Gozo’s Citadel by candlelight this weekend

The Citadel in Gozo will be transformed by candlelight this weekend.

More than 30,000 candles will light up the narrow streets of the historic walled city in Victoria on Saturday night, creating a wonderful magical atmosphere.

If you’ve been to the Citadel before you’ll already know it offers breathtaking 360-degree panorama of Gozo’s hills and valleys, villages and churches and a view right across the sea to Malta.

The Festival of Light also promises historical re-enactments, cheaper museum entrances, live entertainment and children’s activities.

Gozo Minister Justyne Caruana said that the island had become synonymous with quality festivals and cultural activities for all the family.

The event has been organised by the Ministry Of Gozo, Visit Malta and VisitGozo.com.
