Traffic is being reported along the road which is adjacent to Kennedy Grove, after what seems to be an accident involving a car and a motorbike.
A part of the motorbike is stuck in the crash barrier with the rest of the bike is in the middle of the road. Police Officers are on the scene to control the traffic, with a car, which seems to have been the one involved in the collision, is at a standstill.
A spokesman for the Malta Police Force confirmed that in the incident, which happened at around 06:30 this morning, the driver of the motorbike, a 23 year-old man, residing in Msida but originally from Nepal, lost control of the bike and crashed into the crash barrier. Consequently, parts of the bike ended up on the opposing side of the road, hitting a car which was driving in that direction.
A 26-year old woman from Nepal, residing at St Paul’s Bay was a passenger on the bike. Both the driver and the passenger were taken to hospital.
