Everything You Need To Know About Notte Bianca, Happening Tomorrow!

With less than 24hrs away from Notte Bianca, here’s what you need to know!

 

Notte Bianca is just 24hrs away and excitement for this colourful night of arts and culture is building! With over 50 events scattered throughout Valletta with multidisciplinary performances ranging across various artforms, including dance, artistic installations, music and theatre. This year’s programme of events boasts a plethora of local and international acts, with names such as Freddie Portelli, George Curmi Pusè, ManaTapu, Tribali, Fakawi, Marisa D’Amato and Marty Rivers, Skald, Sterjotipi, Versatile Brass, Klinsmann, The Mel Collective feat. Matthew James and Karin D, Umberto Porcaro, Tinto Brass Street Band, street performer Karchoca, Qu4ttro, and the headliners for this year’s mainstage The Kolors!

 

 

We know what you’re thinking. With all these events happening all at the same time, how will you find the hidden gem that will pique your interest? Simple, follow the route which interests you most! Just to remind you, this year’s routes are: The Kids Route, The Alternative Route, The Classics Route, The Music Route, The Red Route, The Dance Route, and The Theatre Route.

With the large turnout synonymous with Notte Bianca, Valletta’s streets will be bustling with activity all through the night. In order to mitigate traffic congestions, we highly recommend the use of Public Transport, which as of the 1st October will be free of charge.  Remember that you still have to present your Tal-Linja Card when you board.  Malta Public Transport will be increasing public transportation frequency after 11pm, with special routes specifically created for Notte Bianca. You can find the special night routes listed below so that you can plan ahead:

If you still want to travel with your personal vehicle, take note that access to Valletta will not be possible after 9:30am as the Notte Bianca team will be well underway preparing for the magical evening ahead. The general public can only access Valletta by car through the ringroad only. Valletta residents will however be able to access the Capital City on presentation of their ID card, only St Paul’s Street will be closed for access.

 

 

This year, Notte Bianca will be back with a bang, with hundreds of artists uniting in one memorable evening. And remember: ‘Anything you want, You got it!’
