Eliana Gomez Blanco will represent Malta at this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
The singer, 14, was chosen after a public vote via SMS and by a jury.
Members of the jury included former Eurovision star Claudia Faniello, last year’s Junior Eurovision performer Ela Mangion.
The finalists were:

- Shania Cauchi – ‘O Mio Babbino Caro’
- Maya Cauchi – ‘Creep (Postmodern Jukebox)’
- Leah Cauchi – ‘Illejla’ (ORIGINAL SONG)
- Yarin Coleiro – ‘The Power of Love’
- Martina Cutajar – ‘Dynasty’
- Eliana Gomez Blanco – ‘Sto Male’
- Yulan Law – ‘Speechless’
- Amy Pace – ‘Rise Up’
- Eksenia Sammut – ‘Always Remember Us This Way’
- Kristy Spiteri – ‘Never Enough’
The song Eliana will perform at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be revealed at a later date.
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 will be held on Sunday 24 November in Gliwice in Poland.
A total of 19 countries will take part in the contest, with Spain performing for the first time since 2006,
