Efforts Done In Malta During Covid-19 Praised By The World Tourism Organisation

Countries across Europe and the rest of the world have been working on overdrive to try and minimise COVID-19’s impact on their territory as much as they possibly can.

We’ve all taken some sort of blow, there’s no denying it, but some have definitely been more affected than others.

Throughout the past couple of weeks, we’ve been hearing Malta mentioned by many prestigious organisations, all praising us for our efforts during this pandemic. The latest organisation to praise the way Malta is handling the Corona Virus pandemic is the UNWTO (World Tourism Organisation).

The UNTWO has praised the work that was and still is being done in the tourism sector, to ensure it’s safety and sustainability during the pandemic.

In a letter addressed to Prime Minister Robert Abela, UNWTO’s Secretary General, Zurab Pololikashvili said, “We are closely following the incredible work of your government in this exceptional crisis and I wish to personally congratulate you for your commitment and efforts as Prime Minister in helping the travel and tourism sectors to deal with the Coronavirus outbreak and to address its socio-economic impact.”

What an honour!
