A man has been rushed to hospital after a serious road accident in Siggiewi.
Police said the 36-year-old from Mtarfa lost control at crashed into a tree.
The accident happened on Għajn il-Kbira at around 7.45am on Friday.
A police spokesman said: ‘The man was driving a Seat Ibiza when he lost control and crashed.
‘A joint operation between the Civil Protection and a medical team extracted the man out of the car and he was taken to Mater Dei by ambulance.’
The man is said to be in a critical condition in hospital.
