December is the season to be jolly and we’d probably do anything to help us stay in spirit. There are numerous activities and events around Malta & Gozo during Christmas time. Here are some that are worth checking out :
Milied fl-Ghejjun – 20/12/19
Kummisjoni Zghazagh Fontana is organising the second edition of their Christmas Festival called ‘Milied fl-Ghejjun’.
This will take place around the Sacred Heart Church of Fontana. It will include children’s choirs, dance groups, free kids area, stalls with Christmas ornaments, food and folklore. Event begins at 7pm.
Santa Claus is coming to Nadur – 21/12/19
With the event starting at 5pm, this free event is open for all the family – children too! It included dances, marches, carols AND best part of it all? Santa will be there and he will be available for photos!
Crib exhibition – on till the 5th January
You cannot celebrate Christmas without visiting one of the many Crib exhibitions that we’ll have around the island!
You can practically drive around in your car and find an exhibition in every town or village in Malta.
However, I do have a favourite one! There’s one in the Hal Farrug area – I like to visit it every year for the simple reason that the man behind it puts so much effort and dedication towards his crib.
He changes or improves something every year so I’m always keen to see what is new that year!
Christmas at the Valletta Waterfront – on till the 27th December
Even at the Valletta Waterfront one can find a mixture of decor, music, food and activities.
Underneath the 35 feet Christmas tree one can find bands, choirs, cribs and more! Little ones can enjoy balloon modelling, face paintings, crafts, puppet shows and bouncy castles.
Also, Santa alongside his elves can be found at his workshop and will be available for photos too!
It looks like a busy couple of days for Santa! Will you be visiting him?
