David Beckham has revealed he ‘can’t wait to come back’ to Malta.
The football legend said he ‘always felt at home in Malta’ whenever he visited the island with Manchester United.
The former England captain was speaking in a video message sent to the Manchester United Supporters’ Club Malta.
He said: ‘I can’t believe it’s been 60 years since you’ve been supporting the best club in the world.
‘I’ve got such fond memories of being over there and I can’t wait to come back.’
The video message will be played at the premiere of a documentary in Valletta to mark the 60th anniversary of the Manchester United supporters club in Malta.
Beckham’s father Ted will be among those in the audience at the premiere in St James Cavalier on Saturday night.
The documentary explores the history of the world’s oldest Manchester United supporters’ club from its formation in 1959.
