A 30-year old Dar tal-Providenza resident, became Malta’s youngest COVID-19 victim as she passed away earlier today at St Thomas Hospital, after being admitted from Dar tal-Providenza on the 18th February.
In a statement, the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health, said that the woman suffered from various other health conditions.
This, together with an 83-year old woman who also died in the past 24 hours, at Mater Dei Hospital, brings Malta’s COVID-19 death toll to 311.
Meanwhile, after 3,743 swab tests which were carried out in the past 24 hours, 192 new COVID-19 cases were registered, while 185 people recovered, bringing Malta’s Active Number of COVID-19 cases to 2,508.
As to what regards the National COVID-19 vaccination programme, till yesterday 71,562 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were administered, of which 22,501 were second doses.
On the vaccination schedule within Dar tal-Providenza, the Health Ministry said that vaccination at the home started on the 15th February, with 75 residents vaccinated so far, and with the rest set to be vaccinated by tomorrow.
