Craig David has revealed he is ‘looking forward’ to performing at this year’s Gozo Alive.
The singer will headline the festival in Victoria on Saturday 4 May before flying to Ibiza for a series of gigs on the Spanish party island.
Craig is best-known for massive 89.7 Bay anthems such Seven Days, Fill Me In and more recent tracks like I Know You.
Gozo minister Justyne Caruana said: ‘Gozo Alive is our three day cultural extravaganza showcasing the best in live music, arts and culture from Friday 3 May top Sunday 5 May.
‘We will be celebrating everything our island has to offer throughout the year and then packing this into one weekend with more than 60 attractions around Gozo.’
Other events include a classic cars exhibition in Victoria, a fashion show by stylists Charles & Ron, art and photography exhibitions, as well as lots of activities for families in San Lawrenz, Santa Lucija, Nadur, Qala, Xlendi, Dwejra, Xaghra and Xewkija.
Gozo Alive – organised by the Ministry of Gozo and VisitGozo.com – kicks off on Friday night at 8pm with a free show featuring Maltese world music band Tribali.
A fireworks display will colour the night sky following the concert outside the Gozo Heliport.
Victoria police station will be open to the public, and there’s a rare chance to visit the Cold War nuclear bunker in Xlendi, which housed a top secret underground flour mill.
