COVID-19 Update: 60 Recoveries in the Past 24 Hours, 42 New Cases


In today’s medical bulletin issued on the Official Page of the Health Ministry it was announced that after 2,444 tests which were carried out in the past 24 hours, 60 people have recovered while 42 new cases were registered, making this the highest number of daily recoveries in 15 days.

Meanwhile, the Health Ministry also said that from yesterday’s cases, 11 cases were family members of previously known cases, 3 cases were direct contacts of other positive cases, 2 cases were from the St Joseph Home cluster, 5 cases were of work colleagues of previously known cases, 1 case was from social gatherings with other positive cases, 2 cases from Casa Antonia cluster, and 1 case was imported.

A general look at the current situation in Malta shows us that, 2,173 people have recovered from a total of 2,856 cases which were registered since March, while 658 remain active, and 25 persons have unfortunately died. The total swab tests which have been carried out since March now stands at 238,084.
