Maltese customs seizes another big shipment of cocaine passing through the Maltese freeport

It is estimated for the 610 kg bust is to be worth about 100.6 million euros.

The shipment of cocaine was found in a container carrying frozen bananas. The container in question left from Ecuador and was on its way to Batumi in Georgia.

The cocaine was found to be hidden amongst 30 boxes, 20 of the boxes had one packet each while in the final 10 there was 21 packets in total, each packet weighed 1kg.
