Coldplay, Billie Eilish, and Ed Sheeran are among the artists that have been named for a day of performances in several locations on September 25th to raise awareness about climate change, poverty, and vaccination distribution.
The concert will run for 24 hours and will be screened around the world via TV stations and social media.
Jennifer Lopez, Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes, and Burna Boy are among others who will be performing in New York’s Central Park with Eilish and Coldplay.
Sheeran headlines the French show, with Doja Cat, HER, and Black Eyed Peas on the lineup, while Fema Kuti will headline the Nigerian show.
NGO Global Citizen said in a statement: “Across six continents, artists will help rally citizens in demanding that governments, major corporations, and philanthropists work together to defend the planet and defeat poverty” , while focusing on “on the most urgent, interrelated threats hitting those in poverty the hardest — climate change, vaccine equity, and famine”.

Other featured artists will include BTS, Lorde, Metallica and The Weeknd – either through live or filmed performances.
