The eight-part series launched on Christmas Day and has since been watched in 83 countries, overtaking the previous spot holder, The Witcher, which received 76 million streams.
Netflix’s Head of Drama, Jinny Howe, also added that Bridgerton made it into the top 10 list in every country except Japan. Howe also commented on Bridgerton’s release amid the ongoing pandemic, ‘I do think that I am seeing a pivot in terms of people wanting things to feel a little more aspirational and just escapist and feel good.’

Netflix celebrated the great streaming figures with a thank you montage of fans recreating their favourite bits from the show.
The hit drama will also be returning for a second season!
