Maltese aerial photographer Ryan Formosa has showcased some of the island’s most spectacular sights from above in a series of pictures he shot over the last year.
He captured breathtaking drone images of some of Malta’s most famous landmarks in the last 12 months.
From Marsaxlokk to Mellieha and an awesome aerial view of Zabbar’s Umbrella Street, Ryan’s photography showcases some of the best sights Malta has to offer.
His shots also documented some of Malta’s milestones in the calendar year including the newly-restored Fort St Elmo, the beautifully revamped Mdina Ditch Gardens and Valletta’s brand new entrance at Triton Square.
Ryan said: ‘I always wanted to try photography as a hobby. I bought myself a camera and from starting a simple hobby it has now become a passion.
‘I always try to capture original shots and refrain from any editing, so one can experience the raw beauty of the world around us.’
Here’s a collection of his favourite images from above Malta in last 12 months.
