UPDATED: Two Dead Following Shooting In Sliema Residence, Manhunt Ongoing


The Spokesperson for the Malta Police Force, Brendan Pisani said two men, who are yet to be identified, were found on two different floors, who were certified dead on the scene – whilst adding that the Police do not yet have information about the motive behind the murder.

The spokesperson also confirmed that there is a manhunt all over Malta at the moment for the suspect or suspects, whilst not excluding that the Police will hold a Crime Conference tomorrow.

Brendan Pisani said that the Police were alerted to the scene after people who live nearby heard the gunshots close to 10:30pm.



In what is a developing story, Police and Emergency Services are currently at Locker Street in Sliema, corner with Tony Nicholl Street, in close vicinity to the Qui-Si-Sana Promenade where shots were heard at around 10:15pm in one of the residential buildings.

NET News is reporting that people on the scene saying ‘They shot them! They shot them! They broke in! Hold-Up.’



Relatives of the residents are on the scene, as the identity of the person or persons involved is not yet known.
