Malta has been shaken by a small earthquake.
A tremor measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale was felt in several areas, including Fgura and Zebbug, at around 11.15am.
An aftershock was felt soon after.
89.7 Bay listeners in Mosta, St Paul’s Bay, Qormi, San Gwann, Sliema, Marsascala and Kalkara reported that they felt the ground ‘shudder’ for around 10 seconds.
One said: ‘It felt like the Skypark building at Luqa was bouncing.’
Experts at the University of Malta told 89.7 Bay that the earthquake was centred around 25km off the coast of Marsaxlokk.
No damage was reported.
