BREAKING: 98-Year Old Man Becomes Malta’s 22nd COVID-19 Victim

The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Ministry for Health has just announced that a 98-year old man has sadly passed away as he was positive for COVID-19.

The Ministry said that the man had tested positive for COVID-19 on the 6th September, when he was admitted to Mater Dei from an old people’s home.

The man, who, according to the Ministry had various underlying medical conditions, remained hospitalised at Mater Dei Hospital where he passed away earlier today. In the statement the Ministry once again appealed for people to follow all the instructions being given regularly by the health authorities.

Our thoughts are with the family and the relatives of the man, at such a difficult time.
