The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health has just announced that an 86-year old woman has died after testing positive for COVID-19, making this the 16th COVID-19 Death in Malta since March.
The woman was confirmed positive on the 30th August, and was admitted to Mater Dei Hospital on the same day. On the 2nd September she was transferred to St Thomas’ Hospital and back to Mater Dei on the 5th September. The 86-year old, who had various underlying medical conditions passed away last night while recovered in the Infectious Diseases Unit.
The Ministry for Health, once again appealed for the public to continue following all instructions which are given by the Health Authorities.
