The Good Cartel café in Australia is currently offering barista vacancies with a salary of 92,030 Euro annually.
Due to a lack of staff in the area, owner Jack Kain has taken this approach to try and attract new baristas and kitchen staff to work for him. Set to open earlier this week, Kain postponed the launch because of the staff shortages
Jack explained: “It’s a better than usual strategy now with the labour shortage, which has now fallen well and truly off the cliff.”
Although, the fat pay cheque comes at a price of working 47 hours over five days, including weekends. There is also an option not to work weekends, with baristas still being able to earn Euro 83,001 yearly.
