Apple co-founder to speak at Malta seminar

One of the founders of tech giant Apple is set to speak at a conference in Malta next month.

Steve Wozniak will visit the island next month.

He will address a seminar, organised by one of Malta’s biggest iGaming companies.

Gaming Innovation Group, based at St George’s Bay in St Julian’s, is hosting the two-day event on March 6 and 7 for their 650 employees.

University and MCAST tech students, entrepreneurs and members of the business community in Malta will also be invited to the session.

Chief executive Robin Reed told 89.7 Bay: ‘There are many people in Malta, including at GiG, who work in highly specialist technology roles.

‘We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate five successful years of our company than by giving our employees and 400 of the Maltese tech community the opportunity to be inspired by Woz, a pioneer of technology.’

Steve Wozniak founded Apple in 1976 with Ronald Wayne and Steve Jobs.
