A Maltese mum has been hailed a hero on social media after creating colourful new homes for dozens of stray cats.
Sherry Ann Demicoli came up with the design herself on paper and then roped in a carpenter to build the tiny village for her feline friends.
Sherry Anne, from Rabat, said she feeds and looks after at least 20 cats on a daily basis in Ta’ Qali.
She now hopes the local council will allow the stunning new cat shelters to remain in place.
Animal lovers were quick to praise her work and initiative on Facebook.
One wrote: ‘Well done. If only we have something as good as this in our area.’
Another added: ‘What a brilliant idea! How sweet and kind you are for doing this.’
And a third cat lover posted: ‘A big well done for building these important animal shelters for our furry friends.’
Well done, Sherry Ann!
