Maltese NGO Zibel, together with Raniero’s A-dventures and No to Plastic Malta have done it again, this time with an ocean clean-up at the Sirens.
They managed to collect a total of 2,159kf of waste from the ocean bed.
When separating the waste, they found a total of:
- Recyclable Ocean Plastic 237.04 kg
- Recyclable Ocean Plastic Bottles 64.26 kg
- Glass 11.34 kg
- Metal 9.38 kg
- General 187.1 kg
- Tyres 1310.92kg / 114 tyres
- Fishing Gear 37.9kg

It’s insane the amount of waste that was and still is at the bottom of our gorgeous seas.

A huge well done to everyone involved and thank you for helping keep Malta, especially our seas, green and clean.
