Airline Introduces First Bunk Beds For Long Flights

Bunk bed airline

Air New Zealand just introduced the world’s first bunk bed-style sleeping pods for long flights!

Passengers on economy flights can use these sleeping pods.

Air New Zealand will launch these sleeping spaces by 2024 to get passengers looking forward to 17-hour flights.

This concept was named ‘Skynest’ and although passengers will still be sold regular, non-reclining seats, they will be able to book 4-hour sleeping sessions in the pods at an additional cost.

Mattresses and sheets will be changed by cabin crew after every booking and the beds will be stacked bunk bed-style on top of one another.
