Earlier today, Malta’s National Airline, Air Malta launched its Winter Schedule despite the aviation industry and the world on the whole, is passing through an unprecedented difficult time.
Though this might not be the ideal time to travel, Air Malta will still be flying regularly to 21 destinations: Amsterdam, Brussels, London Heathrow, Paris (Charles de Gaulle and Orly), Lyon, Lisbon, Madrid, Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Munich, Zurich, Prague, Vienna, Milan, Catania, Palermo, Rome, and Moscow.
Air Malta is also introducing a flying guarantee on certain flights, which in simple terms, means that the passengers with tickets for these destinations, will be offered full flexibility if they would need to change their flights, given the current circumstances.
These destinations are Heathrow, Paris (both Airports), Berlin, Frankfurt, Heathrow, Munich, Milan, Rome, and Catania.
Addressing the launch event, Economy Minister Silvio Schembri said that unless the airports will close, flights to these destinations will still operate, even if passengers cancel, adding that people can put their minds at rest if they need to travel to meet their loved ones, to have an operation, for business purposes or even to deliver cargo, as the flights will still take place, even if there would be one single passenger on them.
