Adele and her husband are gearing up for a multi-million euro divorce – which could see him entitled to up to half of the singer’s €170m fortune.
The Rolling In The Deep star, 30, married Simon Konecki three years ago.
Rumours over the strained state of the pair’s marriage began swirling after charity entrepreneur Simon, 45, showed up to this year’s Brit Awards in February without the songstress by his side.
Adele’s no show – having previously been a staple at the awards – was said to have been a clear indicator that all was not well between the pair.
A statement from Adele’s management confirmed: ‘Adele and her partner have separated.
‘They are committed to raising their son together lovingly. As always they ask for privacy.
‘There will be no further comment.’
Adele gave birth to their son, Angelo, in 2012.
The Grammy-winning star has always been private about her relationship, but revealed she married Simon when she won album of the year at the 2017 Grammys.
In her acceptance speech, she said: ‘Grammys, I appreciate it. The Academy, I love you. My manager, my husband and my son — you’re the only reason I do it.’
The singer’s debut album, which was released in 2008 and featured hits including Chasing Pavements and Hometown Glory, reached number one in the UK.
She went on to win a string of awards and her follow-up, 21, topped the charts in 30 countries including the US and the UK.
Her third album, 25, sold a record-breaking 800,000 copies in its first week and became the best-selling album of 2015.
Simon co-founded Life Water, an eco-friendly brand of bottled water.
Like Princes William and Harry, he went to school at Eton.
He left banking in 2005 and now heads the water charity Drop4Drop.
