Do you believe in ghosts and the haunted? What would you do if you travel to the island of Gozo for a weekend break and find that the Guesthouse you’re staying in is haunted?

A Maltese woman who wishes to remain anonymous shares her chilling story.

‘My husband, son and I went up to Gozo for a short trip and stayed at a Guesthouse owned by a couple and their six-year old son. The first thing we noticed was this six-year old boy staring into our room from the terrace door.

‘We went out and about in Gozo and when we got back to our room, we found the lights switched on. We were sure we turned it off, but we thought to ourselves, maybe we didn’t?

“There is absolutely no way he could’ve made that distance in such a short time.”

‘The next day we were taking an afternoon nap and heard a knock on our door, I opened the door and found the six-year old son with his eyes rolled over. I asked him if he needed anything. He didn’t say anything back, so I told him I was going to close the door. At that point chills were rushing down my spine.

‘A mere 10 seconds after I saw him knocking at the terrace door. To get to the terrace door, he had to cross the whole house. There is absolutely no way he could’ve made that distance in such a short time.

‘I’ve got a three-year old son who doesn’t like playing with other kids, yet he was basically throwing a tantrum because he wanted to play with this six-year old kid. It’s like he was calling him over with his eyes or something.

“The scariest part was that while he was talking with his dad he seemed normal, but as soon as he made his way upstairs, he seemed possessed.”

‘I closed the terrace curtains and  as soon as I did, I heard the front door knocking again. At this point I was terrified. I opened the door, and there was no one there, but we could hear the owner of the Guesthouse talking with his six-year old son. The scariest part was that while he was talking with his dad he seemed normal, but as soon as he made his way upstairs, he seemed possessed.

‘At that point we just decided to grab lunch and head back to Malta. I was scared for my son, I was scared he would be pushed down the stairs or something.’
