For the first time in weeks, Malta has registered less than 100 new COVID-19 cases overnight. In fact, according to today’s medical update, after 2,661 swab tests which were carried out, 90 new COVID-19 cases were registered while 212 people recovered in the past 24 hours, bringing Malta’s Active COVID-19 cases down to 2,479.
Meanwhile, a 76-year-old man, and 63-year-old woman died at Mater Dei Hospital while COVID-19 positive, with Malta’s COVID-19 death toll now standing at 375.
As to what regards the COVID-19 National Vaccination Programme, 150,897 doses were administered till yesterday, of which 45,286 were second doses.
