89.7 Bay has taken part in Malta’s biggest charity fun run this year.
The President’s Solidarity Fun Run was held on Sunday morning.
The event, in its 10th year, was in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation.
The 11.3km run started in Rabat, while three other walks began in Paola Square, in Santa Venera and at the University of Malta.
All the routes met at Porte des Bombes in Floriana before the walkers and runners made their way to St George’s Square in Valletta for the grand finale.
President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca said this year’s fun run was ‘a celebration of unity, generosity, solidarity and voluntary work’.
She added: ‘I honestly believe that the solidarity and generosity of the Maltese people is what truly sets this country apart from thre rest of the world.’
