55 COVID-19 Cases Registered Overnight Whilst 45 People Recovered

 

After 2,227 swab tests which were carried out in the past 24 hours, 55 new COVID-19 cases were registered while 45 people recovered. This brings Malta’s Active COVID-19 cases down to 554, as the downward trend of the past week seems to be continuing.

 

 

Meanwhile, however, a 76-year-old male died at Mater Dei Hospital while COVID-19 positive, bringing Malta’s COVID-19 death toll up to 401.

 

As to what regards the COVID-19 National Vaccination Programme, till yesterday, 227,606 doses were administered, of which, 63,114 were 2nd doses.
