5 Great spots for an epic first date in Malta

First impressions count, and what better way to smash that first impression through the roof than to give them a date night that you’ll never forget?

Here are five great spots for an epic first date in Malta.

1. Bahrija Valley Sunset Watching

Peace and tranquility are guaranteed.

Picture this. Picnic basket, soft towels, bottle of wine and your date.

It’s an inexpensive date, yet it shows attention to the little things.

It’ll make your plus one feel special!

Not to mention, taking in the immense beauty of the sunset is an un-matchable romantic scene and it goes without saying that this valley is blessed with unobstructed sea views and it is relatively unknown to tourists!

2. Gharusa tal-Mosta Public Gardens Leisure Walk

This public garden has been recently regenerated, restoring it to its original beauty. It is perfect for a brisk walk along its many pathways with an ice-cream in hand, having a wide panorama of the Maltese countryside to savour just below you.

While it promises vast greenery and jaw-dropping scenery, it is surprisingly not frequented by many.

Imagine having a public garden for yourself and your date! Exclusivity at no price at all.

3. Lunch Date in Fomm ir-Riħ Bay Cart Ruts; limits of Mgarr

Surely you must’ve seen an Instagram post or two taken in this picturesque viewpoint.

Personally, I vouch for sushi-to-go and some cold drinks as the ideal munchies to share with your date whilst enjoying the views on your night together.

PS: Adrenaline junkies or daredevils may try to descend to the secluded bay down below the cart ruts for added thrill.

Although small in size, this bay is super scenic.

4. Beach hopping at Ras il-Fniek, Il-Ħofra l-Kbira and l-Ħofra z-Zgħira; in the vicinity of Marsaxlokk

You’ve never heard of these weird beach names, have you?

I’ve only come across them a few weeks back!

These 3 close beaches are not so popular with both tourists and locals but they nevertheless have unique characteristics and are a gem to swim in.

In addition, it isn’t very difficult or time consuming to enjoy these 3 beaches in a day due to their close proximity to each other.

Another perk is that these swimming spots are almost never populated by large crowds of people, making them perfect for a relaxed day out with your other half.

5. Ghajn Tejtes Roadtrip; limits of Rabat

If you want to go the extra mile to please your partner in crime, I suggest that you make your way to the gorgeous Ghajn Tejtes.

There, you can opt to either explore the raw surroundings by foot or absorb the impeccable natural wonder.

Albeit an unheard of spot, it serves the pleasures of nature lovers, photographers and adventurers alike.
