326 New COVID-19 Cases in the Past 24 hours

 

Malta’s Active COVID-19 Cases have gone up to 3,128 after 362 new COVID-19 cases were registered overnight, while 230 people recovered, following 4,146 swab tests which were carried out.

Meanwhile, in the past 24 hours, two women aged 68 and 76 respectively, and two men aged 75 and 64 respectively have unfortunately passed away while COVID-19 positive, bringing Malta’s death toll to 325.

As to what regards the National COVID-19 vaccination programme, till yesterday, 30,329 people received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, from a total of 86,854 vaccine doses which have been administered.

Prime Minister Robert Abela, Deputy Prime Minister Chris Fearne, and Malta’s Public Health Chief Charmaine Gauci are to address a press conference imminently.
