Farm dog Bobi has unquestionably surpassed the previous record for the oldest dog in history, according to the Guinness Book of World Records.

 

 

Bobi is a purebred Rafeiro do Alentejo, a breed of farm dog native to Portugal with a typical lifespan of 12 to 14 years.

 

As of February 3, 2023, the dog had surpassed it by a considerable margin, at 30 years and 268 days.

 

Bobi spends his days working on the farm owned by his relatives in the Portuguese community of Conqueiros.

 

His owner, Leonel Costa, now 38 years old, told the Guinness World Records that he was eight years old when they got the dog.
