28-Year-Old Man Dead After Motorcycle Accident In Gżira



Late on Tuesday, a 28-year-old motorcyclist from Luqa was grievously injured in a collision with another motorcycle on the Regional Road in Gzira.



The other motorcyclist, a 28-year-old Zebbug resident, only suffered light injuries.

According to the police, the incident occurred at 11 p.m. while the motorcycles, both Suzuki GSXR600s, were being driven towards Marsa.




Ambulance services assisted them both, but Andrea Alamango died at Mater Dei Hospital from his injuries.





A police investigation and a judicial investigation are currently underway.

This is the 11th fatality on the Maltese roads this year, already surpassing last year’s total number.
