A picture can tell a thousand words, which is handy because Malta must be the most photogenic country in Europe.
From street scenes to charming countryside views, and incredible coastlines to rich history, Malta has it all in terms of stunning scenery.
Artist Jacqueline Agius from Attard has taken full advantage of Malta’s stunning views in her beautiful watercolour paintings.
Jacqueline told 89.7 Bay: ‘My art is inspired by the direct engagement with places in a way that reflects and expresses the emotions.
‘I love the landscape with its open spaces, the glittering sea and particularly the warm stone buildings and churches standing proud against the skyline.
‘In my paintings I am primarily interested in describing the beauty of the world around us.’
She added: ‘I am particularly fascinated by the play of light and shadow.
‘My watercolours not only depict recognisable landmarks, they capture the light, atmosphere, colour and forms of the locations whilst offering personal interpretations of those places.
‘Above all the paintings convey an enthusiasm and delight in the world about them.
‘My aim is to work a spell on the viewers, to stir feelings.’
If you’d love a little bit of Malta hanging in your home, Jacqueline’s work is a must.
